Haven Bed & Breakfast Reviews

A great place to stay and embrace Wiltshire Heritage. It was just so peaceful, clean, welcoming and tranquil. Thank you so much for looking after us on our weary travels back from the depths of Cornwall. We were made to feel immediately welcome and appreciated the privacy afforded us by our own entrance. The twin double bedded room was light, bright and very comfortable and helped us relax. The local area is brimming with history, stunning countryside an tranquillity. We would certainly stop again. We are leaving rested this morning. And a special thanks for looking after my dietary requirements; that was particularly appreciated.

This is a comfortable, clean and peacefully quiet B&B in a lovely location and although I had to book in a hurry and didn’t choose it for this reason, I was very pleased to be served an excellent and plentiful vegetarian breakfast. The host is helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area and indeed, the Adam and Eve stones of Aveburys Beckhampton Avenue can be seen from the garden. I am fighting the urge to mention that it is a mere stones throw from the main Avebury monument itself. I was also pleased that a storage spot was found for my bicycle.

The place was spotless. Breakfast so nice. Owner exceptionally helpful and lovely. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

My stay started with fresh, real coffee and finished with a hug. Sara is warm, friendly and charming. Her B & B is exactly as shown in the pictures. It was peaceful with a lovely view from my bedroom window. A nice walk to the High Street in Avebury. Lovely vegetarian breakfast.

Wonderful veggie breakfast, set in idyllic surroundings. Sara is a great host, my stay there was a great start to my walk the length of the Ridgeway. (Yes, I did make it – exhausting but worth it!)

The Haven is aptly named.. I was greeted and treated like an old friend in a superb home in a beautiful location. Although I arrived early, I was warm-heartedly welcomed and my room was upgraded to the lovely annexe. Thank you dear Sara for a memorable, relaxing stay.

Sara was friendly and helpful and very accommodating of our coming and going. The annexe bedroom suite was good – nice bathroom and little kitchenette with fridge. Excellent accommodation for the price.

This lovely place was close to the site of Avebury and other parts of Neolithic Wiltshire. I felt safe and cared for and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a marvellous time. I wish I’d stayed two nights instead of one.

The Haven is a very good B&B. Sara is a perfect host. Best vegetarian breakfast ever, served in the conservatory. Bathroom totally renovated. The beds were very comfortable. Location is good, we came late in the afternoon and did the stone circle in one hour plus, the same evening. We give The Haven a perfect 10!

What a Haven-ly place to stay! Sara, the owner/host was superb, nothing too hard for her when helping or advising. The whole experience, including the interesting chat over breakfast about the local history was absolutely priceless. I cannot praise Sara or The Haven more in just a few words… BRILLIANT!!

A tranquil setting for the most peaceful, comfortable stay. Sara’s warm welcome and the comfortable accommodation in her charming home was perfect in every detail. Add a tranquil setting, wonderful breakfast table and pub with good food in pleasant strolling distance – The Haven more than lives up to its name. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Sara was a wonderful hostess and the atmosphere of the B&B was great; had a calm, serene energy to it. Great facilities and comfortable room – exquisite vegetarian breakfast. Sara knew a lot about the surrounding area and could give tons of tips of what to do in my short time. If I go back to Avebury, I would want to stay here again!!

Gem of a B&B. Great stay in this magical part of the world. The Haven is a gem and I hope to visit again in the future. Lovely accommodation within strolling distance to all the sites of Avebury.

Haven Retreat Reviews

Thank you so much Sara for such a peaceful and amazing retreat! The pure love, energy and wisdom that you so generously shared with me has been so greatfully received.

You truly have created 'The Haven' here.

So many beautiful and special moments enjoyed during my stay from an immense starry, starry night, to a fantastic day walking the sacred sites, the wet and wild 01.45 solar eclipse moment (we won't let a storm get in our way, will we?) to what culminated in a total RELAX in the Epsom salt jacuzzi - and THE most relaxing and energising 'non-surgical' facelift.

I leave here now as a new ME - totally renewed and energised! Thank you!!

Fantastic stay at the Haven. Spent 2 nights – lovely clean accommodation, excellent breakfast and peace and quiet. Sara is a wonderful host – very knowledgeable both about Avebury and her holistic treatments. I had three treatments. Felt fabulous afterwards. Have experienced a very close bereavement recently and Sara has really helped me. Would highly recommend.

I had a lovely time at The Haven with therapies and much needed de-stress and relaxation. Sara is a wonderful hostess and I would recommend a stay anytime!

I came here for a five day retreat over a long weekend.  Sara was amazing… extremely welcoming and attentive; nothing too much trouble.

Supplies for breakfast and lovely added extras.. She has a great local knowledge and shows you all the places worth a visit. The retreat package was amazing. Sara is extremely respectful and accommodating.

Each package is tailored to the individual and fluid in terms of a constant conversation as things shift and change in terms of healing. I tried the Therapeutic facelift and touch, which is not something I would normally do. The sense of relaxation and peace afterwards was amazing.

I am a person who struggles with sleep so Sara built this into the evening. After two treatments my sleep went from 3 hours to 6 and after a third treatment I was sleeping eight hours and laying in!!  No sleeping tablets or Nytol required!! I had a Soul Code reading and was stunned at its accuracy in terms of the here and now, the path chosen and choices I was making. Again, something I would not have believed possible from a set of numbers unless I’d experienced it myself.

I also used the opportunity during my stay to share some of my journey with Sara and she offered healing through just allowing me to share my story, then using a variety of techniques such as visualisation, matrix core work and most importantly, just ‘being’ with me to bring an amazing sense of peace and lightness..  I was sharing this retreat with a friend who was into ‘crystals’ and persuaded me to try them and Sara was able to build into our stay some activities we could do together such as crystal tuning and programming. I also enjoyed sharing a meditation with Sara which was beautiful.

All of this within Avebury, with the amazing stone circle, Windmill Hill, historical church, white horse, Landsdowne Monument, breath-taking scenery, really does create a Haven and magical retreat.  I would challenge anyone to lay aside any scepticism, cynicism, and while in a setting full of the weird and wonderful, the magic and mystery. Embrace the retreat package and just be open to receive and you will leave with a gift to self that no shop can offer.

After looking online for a retreat in Avebury I found The Haven B & B. How wonderful it is there, surrounded by beautiful countryside in the most peaceful area of Avebury. My friend was in need of some healing and after us both having Soul Code readings and Therapeutic treatments we came away feeling healed and relaxed. We also did a lot of wonderful walks. Sara is so knowledgeable about the area and pointed us in the right direction. Sara has thought of everything and the breakfasts are healthy and delicious. If you are after peace and quiet, this is a wonderful place to stay.

From the moment I arrived in Avebury Trusloe and walked right between the hedges I knew I was in a peaceful and beautiful place. I loved seeing the Lavender plants outside the Haven. Sara welcomed me with a warm and friendly smile and we had a lovely cup of fresh brewed coffee. I realised that Sara and I had very similar stories and it was so refreshing to share. We spoke for three hours. Sara is a pure divine soul with strong healing abilities. I had a soul reading which was 100% accurate; highly recommended!! She’s extremely enthusiastic, open and encouraging and gives warm guidance. The energy of The Haven is incredibly beautiful, sacred, healing and loving. Step out to the conservatory and feel the light shining everywhere and you will be mesmerised by the magical and wondrous views of the fields. Bring your crystals and have them cleansed by this powerful place. I loved my en-suite room, wow! Very comfortable mattress, with soft sheets that smell so fresh. Room is neutral and positive. Shower is super hot and great pressure. I really appreciated having my own fridge, kettle and toaster in a separate room. Sara is a wonderful host who cares about her guests. She is full of knowledge on Avebury. She is also extremely thoughtful on dietary requirements too. Love seeing and reading the small books in the room on Avebury. Add this to details, the room is decorated with fresh flowers, with white and beige linen. I slept comfortably. Thank you so much Sara for a lovely and warm stay. I will be back. Lots of love and peaceful blessings.
