Dragon at the Haven, Avebury

Facilities & Services

Facilities are available for short and longer stays. Retreat stays are taken in The Suite. Mini retreat packages are available for those who just wish for a ‘bite size’ time out period (see under therapies).

Marlborough is the closest town to Avebury, approximately five miles away and has various restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, banking facilities and holds a market twice weekly. Train stations are at Swindon and Pewsey; both around nine miles distance.

Relax & Enjoy

  • Small groups may be accommodated. A guide can be arranged to take you to other sites and venues - contact Sara for more details
  • Enjoy the use of the garden, which looks out across fields. The conservatory can also be used as a separate area to relax in.
  • Pre-Book a Therapy Session...
If you are interested in booking a Therapy session at time of booking.

Practical Stuff

  • Considerate smoking is permitted in the garden, away from the house and where others may be seated.
  • Most dietary needs can be catered for with plenty of notice given.
  • Packed lunches can be provided if good notice is given.
  • A torch is useful as Avebury does not have many streetlights.
  • Mobile phone reception is patchy, so email provides a better option.

Out & About

  • The majority of the major Avebury sites are within a couple of miles walk but good walking shoes are necessary as most of them are in fields.
  • The Haven is local to two pubs within walking distance, a café, museum, small selection of shops, one selling fresh produce.
  • There is a visitor car park in Avebury, two minutes drive from The Haven
  • Discounts available at local pubs for Haven guests
  • Discounts available for local flights from the small airfield nearby
